The Cloud Failed. "I came to bury it, not praise it." The solution to hacking and ransomware is - Virtualization and Hardware Based clustering.

The Cloud FAILED and is now an Obsolete Architecture.    You can quote me on that if you like:  Todd W. Byars,  July 1, 2021

All Clouds should be replaced immediately with a hardware based solutions and FULL Virtualization.   Modern, real time, incremental backups are recommended too.

How to Implement a Switch from Clouds to Hardware Clusters running full Virtualization:

  • Create Transition Plan to move from Clouds to Hardware Clusters.    VMware is our primary recommendation.  VMware in Command Line Interface, CLI, without all the GUI controls, gauges and services.
  • Select Micro-ITX or smaller motherboard computers that run cool or even fanlessly. Select Linux Load (preferred) or Windows Load or Other Load Procedure
  • Build Hardware, Setup and Test with Dummy Loads and Dummy Database.  After burn in and load testing run your pentesting and QA
  • Migrate Data to new Hardware Based Clustering.
  • Test, Run Live, Stress Test, PenTest and verify those backups.
  • Turn Clouds Off.

This problem is LARGE and GLOBAL.  So, The Computer Dudes, Inc and I, once again, GIVE you the procedure to use and share.

It is for everyone, everywhere, including our competition who we consider as brothers and sisters in IT rather than competition.  So PLEASE SHARE!

Who's your pal?  ;)  Todd

The price of a Raspberry Pi 4B and other models has finally dropped.

Some of you wishing to recreate any of our Raspberry Pi devices or outdoor supercomputers like our #solaronemonolith should go ahead a pick up a few.

I think we started with 4 of them the year they came out. This allowed for multiple configurations as well as low power consumption computer and security products.

Read the articles here (all of them) to see and understand our development path.

Plus - they are fun. :)T

Alert: North Florida - Panama City Beach to Tallahassee and nearby cities

The new Black Poles with a Solar Panel and Camera along Highway 20, Highway 77, the City Areas and the Public Beach Areas.

Here is what those autoscanning cameras are all about:

https://ktvl.com/news/local/ask-10-what-are-the-solar-powered-cameras-attached-to-power-poles#

We are not sure if this is legal nor who has access to this footage. We do know it autoscans license plates and does face recognition too.

We do know there are already better versions of the Solar Camera Pole Scanners.

Since most of us carry a cell phone Google already knows more about us, where we are at, and at what speed - it should not be a huge concern.

This is more of a reminder cameras are everywhere and a review of current technology. :)T

Alert: Computer Dudes continues to recommend the deletion of phone apps: WhatsApp, Telegram and most of the others due to increasing security concerns.

Sometimes the security concern is from "hackers," sometimes it is the company that owns the chat or other apps you need protecting from.

Also removing un-used apps speeds your phone up and reduces the number of companies or individuals watching you.

Please share and help make everyones phone more secure. :)T

Pilot Error - Drone Crash

Results in "Design Mod" for a new "Taildragger" mode. Where the Drone flies low to the ground with its camera/payload facing forward and upward.

As we have discussed before - Failure often gives us more data and designs than success.

The test drone was repaired and notes were made on maximum yaw and yaw time till stall for normal operation.

Notes on new design also logged to project. :)T

NOC834 - Request 188.215.124.62 "Stand Down" on Discord Accounts.

We have not used those projects for years anything we built from old discussions is right here in this website.

We gave it away so there is no need to hack or steal anything. :)T

You have to read the stories to understand. Thanks - Todd
